ABOUT
ARIAS Germany eV
ARIAS Deutschland e.V. was founded in 2006 – initially under the name ARIAS Europe – by leading representatives of the German primary and reinsurance markets. The impetus for this was the growing need for specialised alternative dispute resolution in a market environment characterised by run-off situations, complex contracts and international connections.
The aim was, and remains, to create an institutional framework for arbitration proceedings in reinsurance law that meets the specific technical and economic requirements of the industry.
To strengthen cross-border cooperation within Europe, the organisation was later renamed ARIAS Germany. Today, ARIAS Europe is the umbrella organisation for the national European ARIAS associations. ARIAS Germany is an active member of this network.
